A space for ideas, feedback, and connection
Join us in this relaxed, supportive online space where you can exchange knowledge with other marginalised journalists in Wales. Whether you’re working on a project, tackling a challenge, or just want to connect with others in the community, this is an opportunity to get to know others in our network. If you’d like to join but aren’t yet a member, you can sign up for free here.
What to expect
Each session will be (lightly) facilitated by an Inclusive Journalism Cymru Director.
You’ll have the chance to:
- Share a project, idea, or question you’re working on
- Hear honest, constructive feedback from fellow members
- Offer your own insights and experiences
- Connect with others
The aim is for these sessions to become increasingly member-led, with opportunities for new voices to facilitate and shape the format over time. If you have any ideas for themes, guest speakers, or would like to have a go at facilitating a session yourself, get in touch.
Loose structure
Welcome / Housekeeping: A brief intro from the facilitator.
Check-In: An informal way to introduce yourselves.
Sharing: Members can volunteer to share a project or challenge. Up to 3 people per session, each person has 5 minutes to present, followed by 10 minutes of group feedback. If you know you would like to share you can get in touch to be added to the list, otherwise we’ll ask who wants to share on the day.
Check-Out: Final reflections and key takeaways.
Free sign up
Our next session will take place 2.00pm – 3.00pm Friday 7th November on Zoom and you can register here. All members are welcome to attend, and the event is free.
