Join Inclusive Journalism Cymru for this Masterclass on podcasting, with incredible special guests, Hannah Àjàlá (Love, Janessa) and our own Damian Kerlin (Memories from the Dancefloor).

At this free event, you will learn about developing your ideas, producing a podcast and making useful connections within the industry.

Hannah Àjàlá is an international journalist and presenter currently specialising in storytelling and podcasts for organisations like the BBC and CBC, and has recently spent over three years travelling across Africa working on a range of stories and broadcasting for international organisations. In 2018 she founded We Are Black Journos, a network focused on societal representation. 

Damian Kerlin is a Cardiff-based writer, broadcaster and content creator, and a Director of Inclusive Journalism Cymru. As well as writing and managing his own blog, Damian has written for Attitude, The Telegraph and The Independent. He is a regular columnist for Out News Global and a feature writer for The Belfast Telegraph where he writes on LGBTQ+ culture and current affairs. Damian is listed as one of PodPod’s 30 most innovative and exciting rising stars from across the podcast industry.

We will also be joined by Alun Llwyd, Chief Executive of AM, a website and app dedicated to sharing the arts in Wales – including podcasts – who will signpost ways to get involved and the opportunities on offer.

Join us online at 7.00pm on Wednesday 28th June. The event will take place on Zoom and you can register here. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the event is free and open to non-members, even if you’re not in or from Wales.

Live real-time captioning will be available. There will also be English > Welsh and Welsh > English translation to enable you to interact with the event in the language of your choice.
